Bootee Jigsaw Completed!

As of yesterday there was one bootee and one jigsaw.

Looks like a slipper, doesn’t it? It would have been so nice if I could’ve stopped sewing at this point and pronounced them “Done!”.

Am I the only one who thinks that this bears a striking resemblance to Cleopatra’s head gear?

It’s what I thought of anyway. My brain makes interesting connections.

Do you see my ever so subtle advertising of the upcoming WWKIP Limerick event in the background.

Do ya? Huh? Do ya? 🙂

Our event is appearing on Limerick.ie and ilovelimerick.com.

*happy dance*

Don’t they look so dinky on their ownsome in the Hope Chest?

D’awwwwh!

The Teen is just after declaring them to be “lovely” and that “they look like duck feet”……….

Duck feet?

Really?

*confused face*

This weekend in Limerick is lining up to be a good one (assuming the weather co-operates at all).

On Saturday at noon, starting at the Locke Bar, there is going to be an Art for Art’s Sake tour.

This link will being you to their FB event page.

Then on Sunday there will be a Family Fun Day in support of Childline.

The Fun Day starts at 12 noon and continues on until 3pm.

Then at 2pm WWKIP Limerick kicks off in Zest at the Limerick City Gallery of Art.

All in all, it’s sounding like an enjoyable weekend ahead.

Happy times to you all! 🙂

Snugg Boots jigsaw

I made progress with these in Zest while waiting for the Teen.

Progressed some more while waiting in the car for the Teen.

Now I have most of the pieces for two Snugg Boots jigsaws.

The piece on the needles is called the Foot Upper.

I’m glad I like jigsaws.

Next up on the needles….

….Snugg Bootes by Sublime.

The suggested yarn is Sublime Baby Cotton Kapok DK but I, of course, am not using the suggested yarn.

No surprise there.

Instead, I am busting some stash. It’s a baby yarn but that’s about all I know about the yarn. I don’t remember ‘what’ it is and won’t have a notion until I get to its ballband which is safely in the centre of said ball of yarn.

I think these will be my second ever pair of bootees. Yes, I have other items to finish, but I wanted a small project to do in the meantime. These seem to fit the bill and what Hope Chest would be complete without bootees?
